Simon this week played at the Volvo China Open, Bejing, China. He finished in tied 62nd place, with a total score of 295 - seven over par for the tournament. Scott Strange took the title at the Volvo China Open after a final round of 68 gave the Australian a one stroke victory. Fellow stablemate Richard Finch was the leader going into the last day, but Strange fired a final round of birdies at the fifth and eighth, which gave him an eight under par total and the title by one shot from Gonzalo Fernandez Castano.
Simon now has a small rest before the Open De Espana, PGA Golf de Catalunya, Girona, Spain on the 30th April 2009 - 03rd May 2009.
