Last week Simon played in the Estoril Open de Portugal at Oitavos Dunes, Cascais. Simon shot 70, 73, in the first two rounds and 71, 71 in the last. Simon finished in tied thirty sixth place. The Northern Irishman Michael Hoey won the tournament at seven under par after a play-off with Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez Castano.
Simon now moves onto the Volvo China Open: Beijing CBD International GC, Beijing, China, on the 16 - 19 April 2009.
